In The Bind Book Club
In the Bind Book Club is more than a reading group; it’s a space for LGBTQIA+ readers and allies to engage with powerful stories that challenge perspectives, spark meaningful conversations, and affirm our lived experiences.
Through thought-provoking discussions, we explore literature that reflects diverse identities, struggles, and triumphs—whether from queer authors or voices that resonate with our journeys. More than just a book club, we are a community built on connection, curiosity, and the power of storytelling.
Starting September 2nd, we will meet every Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 PM. Reading one book every two months to allow time for deep reflection and discussion. If purchasing a book is a financial barrier, we’re happy to provide a copy.
Everyone deserves the opportunity to participate without limitations.
Register now and join us at In the Bind, where every book opens the door to deeper understanding and sparks meaningful change.

Pathway to Allyship
Pathway to Allyship invites you on a journey of growth, reflection, and action to become a true ally to BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, nonbinary, queer, and trans loved ones.
Through bi-weekly support groups, engaging workshops, a curated book club, and resource-rich activities, you’ll examine biases, deepen your understanding of intersectionality, and gain tools to create spaces of safety, belonging, and affirmation.
Learn to listen actively, speak up when it matters, and foster inclusive environments in your family, workplace, and community.
We address systemic barriers like racism, ableism, and economic inequality, building empathy and skills for lasting impact.
Our first session is Wednesday, August 6th, thanks to the generous sponsorship of the Port of Long Beach.
After launch, we meet every second and fourth Thursday, starting September 11th from 6:30 to 8 PM.
This inclusive space only asks for an open mind and willingness to grow.

Together we’ll learn, connect, and create change.
